E Center Head Start Programs In-Kind
E Center is required to procure in-kind donations equaling 20% of our Head Start grants. These donations come in the form of goods and services from parents, contracted vendors and community members. Time spent working with Head Start children inside and outside of the classroom can be considered an in-kind donation.
If you are interested in volunteering with the E Center Head Start Programs, please download and fill out the Head Start Programs Volunteer Application. E Center Head Start Programs Volunteer Opportunities
Things that volunteers can do to support the Head Start Programs…you are important to a child’s education!!
Classroom Volunteer Ideas:
- Assist staff in preparing classroom activities
- Participate in mealtime
- Engage with children during play
Outdoor Volunteer Ideas:
- Support children in planned outdoor activities (planting a garden, water play, etc…)
- Assist in minor repairs and/or maintenance of equipment/facilities/vehicles
Take Home Activity Ideas:
- Prepare activities that can be used in the classroom
- Prepare portfolio information
- Put together furniture/toys
